Food Storage Experiment Finished

Posted in Food Storage Experiment by Benjamin Matz on May 10, 2010

April has culminated. The food storage experiment has come to an end.

I don’t know that there is much interesting to share about the last two weeks of the food storage experiment. I ended up in a system where I would eat either oatmeal or pancakes for breakfast (supplemented with canned fruit). For lunch a can of some type of beans (lima, red, black, pinto, etc.) with some sort of canned vegetable (yams, beets, green beans, peas, etc) and I would bring snacks like cornbread and applesauce. Oddly enough, I don’t remember too well what I ate for dinner, I know I ate spaghetti several times and once I made pea soup.

All in all, it was a good experience and I ended up losing about 4 pounds in the process. Now I have to start actually building a food storage drawing on the knowledge I have gained. :)
